Open Source adaptation in indian Courts

As per this blog post, Allahabad high court in Uttar Pradesh, India has adopted opensourse.
The judges have been provided laptops, that run on Linux, with the following software
  1. OpenOffice
  2. Evolution
  3. Firefox.
Inclusion of Evolution indicates that the desktop is running GNOME. At least one government department is adopting open source instead of Microsoft software.

Quoting from the blog entry
"The biggest problem with open source software is lack of awareness and
help. A decision to supply the laptops on open source software,
combined with training and technical help, will ensure penetration of
open source in every district, every Tehsil, and every nook and corner
of the country. It will lead more awareness, more accessibility, and
more reliance on open source."

I welcome this move by the Judges and hope that this encourages other government departments to open up to "open source".
India has two major Linux Distributions; BOSS and indLinux, which promote Linux in local languages.
Of these, BOSS is very easy to use and has excellent documentation for a newbie.
