I was having some trouble watching some streaming real media videos. Also some Indian songs sites would not support the real player supplied with PCLinuxOS.
Not to worry, there is always wine with which I can run Windows version of Real Player and Windows version of Firefox and get all the streaming media I want. However I came across this excellent post by Venkatt Guhesan.
Here he has mentioned that using Nightly build of real player did the trick for him. Not to be left behind, I tried it myself and sure enough it works.
Only in my case it was PCLOS, so I do not have to convert rpm to deb. Also Instead of copying the files, nphelix.so and nphelix.xpt to ~/.mozilla/plugins; I did a "ln -s".
This soft link does the trick.
Please use this working trick to play songs from www.Raaga.com, www.smashits.com and don't forget to thank Venkatt.
